Fallout 3 - PC
After months of waiting, my personal life kinda got in the way. I met an amazing girl and had a some what of a world-wind romance. so... lets keep going...
I enjoy it...
-- Overview --
I've play Fallout 2, so I know what going on. So when I got my hands on Fallout 3 and being a veteran at FPS I got right in the mix of things pretty quick. The game is driven by the chooses you make whether they are good or bad, and with small sub-plots that can keep you busy over a huge map. The main story is not bad but has a Fallout feel to it that reminds you of it's past, there are some points in the game that just freak you out. Everything looks and feels great but there are some small and yet not fix yet problems that can take away from it's glory.
-- Game play and Story -- B+
There is not much on game play that has not been improved in the past, so if you played a FPS then your set. VATS in the game is a targeting system that lets you pin point shoots using the fallout 2 action point system. It's fun to use but don't rely on it, in fact you can play the whole game without it. It's best use in a preemptive strike when you can, or if you want to finish someone off in style. The Pipboy3000 is a handy tool that on your wist that act as your tool bag, also comes with a little light that pretty useful. The guns in the game are pretty much the same as most FPS-ers, with ones that you can home-craft your self being the most useful of the bunch.
The story is not going to blow your mind away, but it has it moments of shine. Your dad leave the vault 101 and your on his heels to find him. The thing I like about the story is you can choose to do the main quest or you can wonder around doing other side quests in the game. The quests are a bit world of warcraft-ish and fun to a point, some quests are a bit boring.
-- Look and Feel -- A-
I can't run this game with max setting and if you have a copy for the x-box 360 I am pretty sure it looks awesome. I can get away with running it on a sub-middle level without it making my computer cry the blues, or my video card busting into flames. With that said the game looks, feels and well yeah... it sounds great! Every inch is crafted giving you that posted nuke-in your face feel, I can go on about how every part of this game is crafted right... but I'll leave that to you.
Looking on from DC - A+
Any game that dosen't stop at the end of it's story and leads you on a new adventure needs a big pat on the back. Fallout3 has a new DLC coming out called the PITT witch will set on a new area. New monster, weapons, new fun... sounds great!
It's The Bugs, there everywhere! C-
What stops this game from owning the hearts and minds of us all are it's bugs and like many games. It takes away from it's glory, although many have been patched some still linger in the system.
-----------------------------------
Fallout3 Grade - A-
Highs - Just about everything thing, VATS owns all and the adventure doesn't stop!
Lows - BUGS, BUGS, BUGS!
Final Thoughts - Buy this game, you'll find your self asking the same question I did.... do I want to blow up megaton or not!

Wasteland Runner
With 3 days off and Fallout3 in my hands, you can guess I've been playing the shit out of it. Right now I am playing as a goody two shoe kinda guy, and I have to say it fun but I am sure being a complete dick also has its perks.
I'll be working on my review next week, when I am playing as an ass, stealing and looting everything. For right now I am trying to do the "right thing" witch has some intriguing options.
I've never been to D.C. and now I don't feel I have to, so much of the game is right in the middle of downtown that you can walk (tho, be ready to fight) into the white house. I am enjoying the game.
I'll have more to talk about later... for now... back to the wasteland....

The 2 Week Dead Zone
With Fallout 3 closing in on us, one must stem the time a bit. I've seen just about every video on Fallout 3 and my meter is full, now I just want to play the damn game. BlizzCon now over and still vary little info on inscription, I care vary little about Lich King at this point. Unless some patch comes down the pipe anytime, I am just going to pug away on a few char. I've been working on.
First char. is my Druid, Vinas. He been floating in the mid 30's for sometime now, I had him in Resto and could take not being able to solo. He now is sitting with in boom-kin range and hopefully I can do something about his mana habit.
2nd is my Mage, Jakeonfire. He sitting in outland, waiting for the more higher ups to start playing again. I am not really worry about him, I just need to get him 7 more levels before he can walk on northern.
3rd and maybe 4th, is my Pally and Priest both at 40. I have to pick what one I want to take all the way, I can't level them both. I'm leaning to the Priest, we could always use a healer at high levels, so... he might be it.
With 2 weeks ahead of me, I am pretty sure I'll be tired of WoW by the time Fallout 3 finally rolls around. Now I just need some sleep...zzz....zzzz

Game Review - Spore
Spore - PC
The game that promised so much, and yet delivered so little. All in all that doesn't mean there nothing to like, I just feel it landed a little short of it's intend mark.
-- Overview --
Spore is a bit of a cookie cutter of the The Sims, but this time we get to make just about anything we can think of sit them on a planet. The hallmark of this game is the "Creature Editor" it's so much fun to make something that, it makes spore worth it for just the plane fun of it. Going beyond that and well it a bit flat to say the least. Most people will say that Spore problem is that it try to be too many games at ones, when it needs to be just one game that good.
-- Tide Pool -- C+
After you pick a planet, you start in the "tide pool" stage or what I like to call, "the tadpole race to land" phase. I wish this part of the game was longer, you can easily knock this stage out in about 15mins (10mins if your good). The biggest problem with this stage unlike others is, you wont see any "creatures" anyone has made till you get on land. Disappointment to say the least...
-- Creature Phase -- B-
Now that your on land, this part of the game is kinda fun. You walk around, eat, make friends, eat some more, look for new parts. This is were you see other people creature come into play, you'll run into a swarm of new buddy to play with. My favorite is the "Epic" size monster you'll run into, nothing like a epic size dick-monster chasing you for no reason. Ones your grow up a bit and find new nest you'll get to add buddy into your gang, they are really helpful in a hunting party. My only problem in this part of the game is I could never get enough DNA to make my creature the way I wanted him to look, I had to settle for whatever I could afford (witch wasn't much!).
-- Tribe Phase -- B-
I found this part of the game the most hilarious of them all, the goofy cave-man talk and the dance is too funny. Set that aside and it said to be the RTS part of the game, witch is majorly false. I've played StarCraft and WarCraft3 for many years and they didn't even come close to what an RTS should be. It's a vary VARY cut down version of any RTS you have played, witch doesn't say much for this phase. I would have liked to seen a little more at this point of the game, but it fun no less and short.
-- Civ. Phase -- D-
I didn't like this phase of the game at all, it was boring to say the least. You get to make your houses and stuff. but is was super boring, take over everyone... same old stuff you just did in tribe. moving on...
-- Space Phase -- A-
ok, now your in space. This part is everyone favorite, I enjoy it to a point. Don't get me wrong, it fun to fly all over the place. You get to use a black-hole kinda like Mario uses the Warp Zones, and the size is amazing. The biggest problem in space is it's micro-management, first you have your home planet bugging you every 2 to 5mins. Then if you make friend they to will in-fact bug the shit out of you, along with your home planet and any other bases you have. If you have enemies, well your pretty much going to be jumping all over the place for here on out.
Spore has a lot of good and bad in it, but don't take my word for it. Try it out and from what I hear many of you have (cuz of DRM). It a fun game when your bored or if you want to made that whacked out monster you've always wanted to make. But if your not looking for anything deep or engaging... you might want to past it up.
-----------------------------------
Spore Grade - B-
Highs - Creature Editor, Sharing, Tribe Dance, Exploring.
Lows - Rushed Phases, Replay is low, micro-management is a bitch at the end.
Final Thoughts - I was hoping spore was going to hold me over till Fall Out 3 but Oct. 28 is not coming fast enough.

Game Run Down
I really don't want to go to work tomorrow, it going to be busy and I don't feel like dealing with it. Work has become one of those things that getting harder and harder to put up with. To cope, I've been waiting for Spore to come out, it only been three years and like 17 game play videos later. But it just about out witch in my case is this Sunday, I don't normally forward to Sundays but I've been looking for a different game to play for the last 2 months.
Lets brake it down,
the few game I have my eye on,
that are coming out before the New Year.
1st - Spore - A game that promises so much, form starting in the tiny world of microbes and ending up flying around space. It's a game that going to put a few of my War-Crack toons on hold.
2nd - Left4Dead - massive zombies.... they come for my brains......
3rd - WoW -WotlK - Yea, not sure when this is coming out but it looks like Nov. witch Left4Dead is also coming out. So Zombies and the cold North this thankgiving. Great I'll have a new way to take out my frustration over the Crazy-Shopping-Pain-the-Ass-Holiday.
4th - Fallout 3 - I've play fallout 2 and enjoy what I have played but form what I have seen of the 3rd one. It should rock the socks this Halloween, Oct. 28.
OK, so here my check list.
Spore - (Payed for it) Pending. Sep. 7
Fallout 3 (Haven't payed yet) Pending. Oct. 28
Wow - WotlK - (No date yet, Nov-ish) Pending.
Left4Dead - (Nov-ish) Pending.
On a Side note - I had no idea anyone was reading this, till a few days ago... maybe I should starting updating more for my fans sake... eh? :p

The State of Things
Well, as you can see I haven't been updating my blog like I wanted to, one of the reason is I didn't want it all youtube videos. The other is lack of content, or I guess... my life kinda boring.
I been playing WoW a lot, manly because I got two close friends (Frank and Marry) playing. They seem to enjoy playing just as much as I do so, I log on as much as I can.
A few of my characters are waiting for Wrath of The Lich-King like my rouge. But I have been enjoying the soul-sucking warlock of mine, he vary fun to level with. If you click on his profile you'll see he doesn't have any profession of any kind. I am waiting for inscription to come out, it sounds like it going to be a lot of fun and it seem like herbalism is going to complimenting inscription.
I would keep writing but I am starting to fall asleep....zzzz.....zzzzzz
